Animals

Animals need food to live and grow. We can group animals by what they eat. Herbivores eat plants only. Examples are rabbit, cow, and deer. Carnivores eat other animals, such as tiger, eagle, and shark. Omnivores eat both plants and animals. Chicken, bear, and humans are omnivores.

The teeth of animals match their food. Carnivores have sharp canines to tear meat. Herbivores have flat molars to grind plants. Omnivores have mixed teeth. Animals may change their eating habits when the environment changes.
