Plants are living things. They grow in the soil and need sunlight, water, and air to live. Plants have different parts. The roots take water from the soil. The stem holds the plant upright and carries water to the leaves. The leaves make food for the plant using sunlight. This process is called photosynthesis. Flowers are the colorful parts of many plants. They help the plant to make seeds. Seeds can grow into new plants.
Plants are very important for people and animals. They give us food, such as fruits and vegetables. Plants also give us oxygen to breathe. Some plants are used to make medicine, clothes, and houses. Without plants, we cannot live. It is our duty to take care of plants by watering them and not cutting down too many trees.
